Peace Standing Word

Peace is a very important concept to us. We believe it is an action that takes a great presence of mind and heart. We love reminders to practice peace, to hold space for peace, and to bring it into our communities. This standing Peace word asks you to stand with it, in solidarity, in hope, and in action.

Soapstone, or kisii stone (named for the region where it is found), is a soft, smooth stone. Artisans in Kenya use a wet-sanding technique to carve these peace words. Each stone will show different grains of colors.
