Soapstone, or kisii stone (named for the region where it is found), is a soft, smooth stone. Artisans in Kenya use a wet-sanding technique to carve these heart rocks, dye them with natural dyes, then etch the design using simple hand tools. Various colors. Available colors will be sent when ordering online.
